Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a full-time on-site position as well as field service. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a pivotal role in ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of our heavy equipment and customer equipment. The ideal candidate will be experienced at diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting problems, and executing necessary repairs to keep equipment in optimal working condition. Additionally, this role will involve providing field service support at customer sites as needed.
Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with heavy equipment.

Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions.

Utilize technical manuals and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment efficiently.

Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.

Provide field service support by responding to service calls and performing repairs at customer sites.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities for each piece of equipment.

Collaborate with other team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of repairs.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, with a strong focus on troubleshooting.

Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and customers.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Certification or degree in Heavy Equipment Maintenance/Repair or a related field is preferred but not required.

A CDL is also preferred but not required
